Bank of England: Capital Issuance – August 2009

The data, released today, represents the sterling equivalent of total new capital issued and existing capital repaid during the month of August. Net figures are derived by subtracting repayments from issues.

Gross capital issues by UK residents totalled £45.0 billion in August 2009, £19.0 billion lower than in July.
Net capital issuance by UK residents totalled £11.1 billion in August 2009, £10.7 billion lower than in July.
